The Zen of Parallel Programming: The Posture of a Kernel
Exploring the HipKittens paper on AMD GPU kernels, I find a parallel between eight-wave ping-pong schedules and human adaptability. Just as threads must exchange roles between computation and memory to function, we must recognize when old survival postures no longer serve us. The goal is not to erase the past but to stop letting it schedule our present actions.
The past remains part of the system, but it does not always have to remain its scheduler.
