I built Retry Storm Lab to show how retry policies can accidentally worsen partial outages by amplifying traffic. This deterministic Python simulator lets you compare immediate, fixed, exponential, and full-jitter backoff strategies under identical failure conditions. By modeling the competition between fresh requests and retries, you can visualize how synchronized clients starve recovering services and measure the true cost of your recovery logic.
