YouTube System Design for Robotics Data Infrastructure

When building Pareto for robotics, we realized the challenges mirrored designing YouTube. We needed to handle massive uploads, process multimodal data like camera feeds and sensor states, and enable efficient streaming. By treating robot episodes as complex video units, we implemented resilient pipelines using Temporal and scalable storage, proving that familiar media patterns solve unique robotics problems.
