Turning 10 Pounds of 3D Printer Waste into a Stunning Koi Pond Mosaic
A Koi Pond Mosaic Made from 10 Pounds of 3D Printer Waste

After three years of saving failed prints and purge towers, I accumulated over 56 pounds of plastic waste. Instead of throwing it away or buying expensive recycling equipment, I used 10 pounds of this scrap to create a vibrant koi pond mosaic. By sorting colors and using hot glue on a free TV box cardboard backing, I transformed what was destined for the landfill into a unique piece of art without spending a dime on new materials.
"3D printing feels clean, but it generates a lot of waste, and the real problem is that there is almost no recycling stream for printed plastic, so most of it just goes in the trash."
