FAA Restores Boeing's Authority to Certify 737 Max and 787 Airworthiness

FAA lets Boeing sign off on 737 MAX, 787 airworthiness certificates again

The Federal Aviation Administration has officially allowed Boeing to resume issuing airworthiness certificates for its 737 Max and 787 Dreamliner aircraft. This authority was previously revoked following the fatal crashes in 2018 and 2019. After eight months of alternating certification duties, the FAA found Boeing's production quality comparable to its own, marking a significant step toward restoring trust in the manufacturer.
