Are We Offloading Too Much of Our Thinking to AI?
Are we offloading too much of our thinking to AI?

I observe a growing tendency to delegate critical thinking to AI, from trivial choices to complex reasoning. While tools like ChatGPT and Claude boost productivity, relying on them risks eroding our autonomy. I argue for a balanced approach where we generate our own hypotheses first, using AI only to test and extend our thoughts rather than replacing the creative struggle entirely.
"It saves you time, and it saves you thinking. But it is a fine line between having an assistant that helps with your tasks, and losing all of your autonomy."
