Bridging ActivityPub and ATProto for a Better Open Social Web

ActivityPub over ATProto

I argue that the divisive debates between ActivityPub and ATProto are unnecessary when we could combine their strengths. By running ActivityPub atop an AT Protocol Personal Data Server, we can merge the broad web integration of ActivityPub with the user agency and credible exit guarantees of ATProto. This approach offers a practical path to a more unified and resilient open social media ecosystem.
