The Glass Backbone: Why the Army's Logistics Will Break in the Next War

I argue that the US Army's current logistics, optimized for permissive environments, will fail against peer adversaries. History and the war in Ukraine show that operational reach is dictated by sustainment, not just firepower. We must shift from centralized hubs to decentralized, protected networks and elevate logistics to a primary warfighting function to survive future conflicts.
