A 2048-spin bulk acoustic wave Ising machine for number partitioning and Sudoku

We present a compact, low-power Ising machine using bulk acoustic wave delay lines to handle 2,048 spins. Unlike optical systems, our design offers exceptional thermal stability and affordability while solving complex problems like number partitioning and Sudoku. Our device outperforms simulated bifurcation algorithms on difficult tasks and finds approximate MAX-CUT solutions in just 341 milliseconds.
